Johannes Kepler: German mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer. A key figure in the 17th century scientific revolution, he is best known for his laws of planetary motion, based on his works Astronomia nova, Harmonices Mundi, and Epitome of Copernican Astronomy. These works also provided one of the foundations for Isaac Newton's theory of universal gravitation. Johannes spent many night searching the night sky, using his Kepler-scope (version of Galileo's telescope) and studying the motions of the planets and stars. Johannes's discoveries led to the creation of Newton's Laws of Motion, which are the fundamentals rules we follow today in order to understand and master gravity
